This project investigates the impact of cyber security on the decision-making process behind the adoption of new digital technologies in UK small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
Goals:
To understand the impact of previous cyber security incidents on SMEs’ decision to invest in new digital technologies.
To understand the impact of SMEs’ current cyber security practices on the readiness to invest in new digital technologies.
To generate an original dataset on SMEs' decision-making process regarding the adoption of new digital technologies.
To create a policy guide targeted at policymakers outlining our main results and recommendations.
To create a good practice guide for the adoption of digital technologies in SMEs, targeted at managers and institutions.
